My car was totaled on 17.12.13. I submitted to my insurance company and the JM&A group. I owed about $3200 more than the value of the car. JM&A (Gap Insurance Group) paid only half of what was still due, leaving (ironically) a void. (Imagine this) They claimed that because of the car`s excess mileage, they would only cover 50% of what was due beyond what my car insurance company had paid, and that this was explained in a contract. I was never shown a contract and I was never told that there might be a possibility that the insurance company would leave a void in what was due and what was paid in the event of an accident. This obviously makes it unnecessary to have the extra insurance. Now I`m stuck with a $1,630 payment that I was told would never happen because of the insurance I bought. .
